The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a CRNA to join a growing CRNA only practice at Mayo Clinic Health System in Barron, WI. The CRNA will be joining a team of three Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and will provide coverage in Barron, Bloomer, Rice Lake and Menomonie. This position is also unique in that it offers the opportunity to practice independently and see a broad case mix that includes general surgery, OB/GYN, GI endoscopy, Orthopedics, ENT, and urology.
Position description
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) performs clinical anesthesia duties and takes appropriate responsibility for direct patient care and for on-call as assigned. The CRNA prioritizes anesthetic decisions, administers anesthetic agents under department protocols and guidelines, and communicates patient status to healthcare team members. This individual performs coordinating duties by facilitating staff coverage, assignments, and breaks as needed for anesthesia providers. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the lifespan. Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs as required. The CRNA demonstrates leadership through involvement on committees and/or team projects, education, and research and actively seeks to improve the practice through performance improvement initiatives. This individual is active in professional organizations and participates in community activity. Emergency response to airway or code situations may be required.

This position requires a CRNA who has completed a formal training program in Nurse Anesthesia. A minimum of a Master's degree required for all new hires after January 1, 2015.
Additional qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience is required. A Doctoral (DNP, DNAP, DrAP, PhD) degree preferred.
License or certification
A current Registered Nurse and an APNP Wisconsin license is required. Graduate of a Council on Certification of the American Association Program and NBCRNA certification required.

Primarily Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Call responsibilities are minimal but must be willing to take occasional call PRN.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
