Health System in northwest WI is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join their team. Family Practice Board Certified/Eligible physicians will also be considered given sufficient inpatient experience. This opportunity includes:
This physician will provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service. Primary responsibility to our 25 bed Critical Access Hospital with a Transitional Care Unit. Opportunity may exist to pick up additional shifts at our 205 bed Hospital in Eau Claire.

This physician will provide comprehensive care from admission to discharge for all patients referred to the service. Primary responsibility to our 25 bed Critical Access Hospital with a Transitional Care Unit. Opportunity may exist to pick up additional shifts at our 205 bed Hospital in Eau Claire.
Details:
- Seven days on, seven days off, 12 hour workdays
- 12 hour workdays, must be 30 minutes on call arrival to ED if temporarily out of the building.
- Team of five Hospitalist provide 24 hour, 365 coverage.
- Mixture of days and nights rotating.
- No OB, No surgery
- Admissions: 1-2
- Night census 16.3 (80% is swing bed, limited acute)
- Actively participate in call with 3 FM physicians who share night call (1:5)
- Back up assistance in ED for resuscitations (only expected to use HIM skill set)
- No ICU
- 161 shifts required yearly
